| Emerald green is green base glass with blue iridescence. In the photo at the left, a Northwood Rose Show plate, it can easily be seen in the lower right. While the blue iridescence was obvious in the original, the blue is hard to photograph so that it shows throughout the piece. With the Hobstar and Flower compote, the blue iridescence is most easily seen as highlights in hobstar. Shown below is another excellent example of emerald green; an Imperial Grape pitcher.
