| In 1970, Fenton made these covered jars in amethyst (shown left) for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad. The cat with its head resting on the pillow is the symbol of the railroad. In 1976 Fenton reissued it in rosaline and since then in other colors, including some that are not iridized (so make sure you know what you're getting if bidding on eBay). The originals in amethyst sell for $75 to $100; other iridized colors $50 to $75, though a red example from 1990 sold on eBay in 2008 for $134. In 2017, a red example brought $65 at auction.
