| Checkerboard water set reproductions are much like the originals. While the pitcher could easily be confused with the old one, the tumblers are taller, about 5 inches. The set above is blue, a color not found in the orignal. However, amethyst water sets were made in both eras. You'll also see the reproductions in honey, lime green, and ice blue. On the right are two covered boxes, typical of the shapes not found in the original Carnival. Note that many items are found with one of the several Westmoreland marks but are new items made by someone else with the mark intact. Be very careful of any pieces in this pattern. | |
