Grape and Cable Miniature Lamp   Updated 12/11/2004

These lamps were constructed from the base of the Grape and Cable perfume bottle (made by Dugan). I'm aware of them only in purple. While they're generally considered to be from the classic era, I have no proof of their age. Dugan went out of business about 1931, so presumably before that date someone purchased a supply of the perfumes and added the fount. In 1994 one of these sold for $325; in 1995 one for $400; and in 1998 another brought $200.
