Goddess, Jain

At least two versions are known of this unusual Indian vase. Found only in marigold. These are made by blowing the glass into a mold, as are virtually all items made by Jain. The two shown here are about 7 1/2 and 8 inches tall. Early on these had been selling in the $400 to $600 range, but with a recent influx of Indian glass into the Carnival market, they bring less. In fact, three examples sold on eBay in 2004 for $177, $300, and $350. On eBay in 2005, a marigold example sold for $250. In 2007 and 2009 there were sales of $85 and $65, respectively, though one sold in 2016 for $140. In 2022, one sold for just $70.
